The regions of Seville, Malaga, Cordoba, Cadiz and Costa del Sol are all within easy access of major airports. Although there is not a main airport within Cordoba you can reach the capital via the E5 motorway from Seville. Alternatively there is a direct route from Granada or Malaga. You can choose the most convenient airport depending on where you are flying from and whereabouts you are staying.
Spain is one of the most accessible countries from UK and Irish airports. You can fly from just about any part of the British Isles.
- London Heathrow, Stansted, Luton and Gatwick, Southampton, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Coventry, Leeds, Bradford, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Dublin and Belfast!
- Flights arrive in Malaga, Seville, Jerez, Gibraltar and Granada
- Airlines include British Airways, Iberia, Ryanair, EasyJet, Jet2, Brittannia, Thonson Holidays, Thomas Cook, Flybe, BMIBaby, Monarch, Air Scandic, Excel, First Choice, Air Scotland, FlyGlobeSpan, Futura and My Travel
Major airlines fly from most of the airports in and around London (Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted) to Malaga, Granada and Seville. You can also fly direct to Gibraltar or Jerez on the Costa de la Luz which are useful airports to use if you are looking for your Spanish holiday home or property in the west of the Malaga and Seville regions.
From Malaga airport you can drive north using the A92 which is a direct route into the Seville region, and along this route you can pick up the N331 (A45) near Antequera and drive directly to Cordoba. You can drive west of Malaga along the E15 through the Costa del Sol. Along this major road you will come across all the main junctions leading off into the Malaga region.
From Granada airport you can take the N432 north to Cordoba where you will enjoy the fantastic scenery of the mountains as well as the plains. You could also drive west along the A92 where Malaga and Seville are both within easy reach. Alternatively the A45 goes south to the Costa del Sol.
